Mapping

Mapping Mapping is one form of paperwork that archaeologists use to document their work along with notes and photographs.  Maps are created to record information from the small (e.g. specific artifact) to large scale (e.g. site).  Pictured: left – mapping an artifact within a unit, middle – mapping a unit, right – mapping units to create a site map.
