Glass Beads

Glass Beads These glass beads are from a 19th century historic site in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. From left to right: an elongated wire round bead; a roughly spherical, wound white bead with small chips of navy blue glass pressed into the surface; a multifaceted bead; a drawn tube bead; and a seed bead. These beads represent just a fraction of the variety of bead types found at historic sites in the Midwest.
