Pipe – Historic Effigy

Drawing - Historic Effigy Pipe This ceramic effigy pipe is thought to have been made in northern Europe sometime in the 17th or 18th century.  Most of the face is intact and seems to depict someone perhaps of Russian origin.  It was found at a prehistoric Oneota Site north of La Crosse, Wisconsin in 1979.
