Woodland Pottery Concentration

Woodland pottery Pictured is the 1983 excavation of a pottery concentration at the Overhead site south of La Crosse, Wisconsin. These body sherds came from a very large vessel. They have been classified as Havana Cordmarked pottery from Middle Woodland times, perhaps 2,000 years old.
