Sharing the Information

During major excavations, it is often possible to let the public know what is happening by conducting site tours, putting up informative signs, posting information to a web site or producing brochures that explain the project. Exhibits may be created for inclusion in public facilities such as libraries or community centers. Public talks, newspaper articles, and radio and TV coverage help to inform the community. Such publicity helps to inform the public, and raise the local community's awareness of their cultural resources.

An Earthday presentation shares the results of ongoing work with the community.
