As a member of the UWL Alumni & Friends Foundation, you will join the thousands of alumni who want to stay connected to UWL. Members of the Alumni & Friends Foundation receive these special benefits:

  • Car Rental Discounts
    Members receive up to 25% off car rentals with major companies including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz and National. Access to the exclusive rental reservation website is emailed to our members and sent out in the mail when you join/renew.
  • Hotel Reservations Discount
    Members receive up to 50% off hotel reservations at places to stay including Hyatt, Marriot, Hilton and more. Access to the exclusive reservation website is emailed to our members and sent out in the mail when you join/renew.
  • Downtown Mainstreet Inc.
    The DMI discount card offers discounts at many downtown La Crosse businesses.
  • Lantern Magazine
    The Lantern Magazine is an annual printed publication mailed to all UWL alumni and donors.
  • Recreational Eagle Center
    Members may use the REC for $6 with the presentation of their current membership card. This includes the gyms, multipurpose room, racquetball courts, climbing wall, strength center, track, and all the equipment on the track (cardio and strength equipment). Classes and programs are not included.

  • Audit a Class
    Contact Records and Registration at 608.785.8591 or records@uwlax.edu to learn more. If you are a Wisconsin resident and 60 years or older (by the first day of class), you may qualify to audit classes free of charge on a space-available basis by permission of the instructor. More information can be found here. 
  • Campus Tours
    To schedule a tour, please contact the Alumni & Friends Foundation at 608.785.8489 or alumni@uwlax.edu.
  • Career Services
    Contact Career Services at 608.785.6950 or career@uwlax.edu for assistance. Appointments are necessary.
  • Lantern - e-newsletter
    Sign up to receive this monthly publication. 
  • Insurance
    • We're always looking for ways to help out our alumni. We've arranged a variety of opportunities for UWL alumni to receive special opportunities and discounts through a variety of insurance resources:
      • Liberty Mutual provides our alumni with a special discounted rate on Auto Insurance and Home Insurance. Discounts and savings are available where state laws and regulations allow and may vary by state. To the extent permitted by law, applicants are individually underwritten; not all applicants may qualify.
      • The Alumni Insurance Program is a convenient source of health insurance and life insurance for alumni and their family members. There are a variety of plans available to meet your needs, including health insurance, group term life, and even pet health insurance! (Availability of plans vary by state.) 
  • Museum
    To review yearbooks and campus memorabilia and for hours of operations, contact the Alumni & Friends Foundation.
  • Transcripts
    Transcripts are available for $10 each.
