Everyday as UWL employees, we support student success through our work. Another way to support student success is by giving back. Making a donation – regardless of the amount – makes a powerful statement about our shared commitment to our students.
One of the easiest ways to giveback is through a payroll deduction. By enrolling in a payroll deduction, you can determine the amount you would like to give each paycheck and moving forward it will automatically be withdrawn-no extra work on your end!

UWL Employees give to all areas of campus. It is completely up to you where your gift goes. Maybe you give to your department? Maybe you give to your favorite sport? Maybe you give to a club you were in during college? Wherever you choose to give—it makes a difference!
In 2023-2024, the UWL Alumni & Friends Foundation awarded over $1.2 million in scholarships to deserving students. This impacts over 1,000 students annually by reducing their financial burden, so that they can focus on academics and their college experience.
Beyond monetary gifts, there are so many ways to support our students that matter just as much. Here are a few other ways you can support our students:
- Cheer on our Eagles at an athletic event
- Attend a performance put on by our Theatre and Dance Department
- Sign-up to be a scholarship reviewer by emailing csmith4@uwlax.edu
- Volunteer alongside our students at help serve our community
- Provide a few items to the UWL Food Pantry
