Building Classroom Community

STEM session

This half-hour chat is designed to open up a conversation among instructors about low-stakes, high-impact ways to make all students feel seen and heard in the classroom. As we strive to provide our students with the best possible education, we're always going to be asking them to do hard things--have hard conversations, solve challenging problems. One way we can set them up for success is to make sure they feel seen, safe and comfortable in our classes. This session will focus on ways to connect personally with students, remember important details about who they are and how they present in class, and get to know them better as individuals. This session will focus on STEM classes.
