F-1 International Student OPT Workshop

F-1 UWL international students who are interested in learning more about Optional Practical Training (OPT) should attend an OPT workshop. OPT is up to one year employment following the successful completion of your academic program. It is in your best interest to apply early if this something you are interested in as students can apply up to 90 days prior to graduation/I-20 end date. All students applying for OPT are required to attend this workshop prior to applying. Also if you are graduating May 2021 or Summer 2021 please be sure to submit your intent to graduate in WINGS as soon as possible!

We will be adding a career preparation sessions (courtesy of the Academic Advising/Career Services staff) following the OPT portion. Please see the schedule below for more information. If you attend one OPT session, you can join the career prep second portion of the following presentations as they will be different topics without having to attend the first portion multiple times.
