Reading Group: Small Teaching Online

This reading group will meet three times during the semester to discuss the book "Small Teaching Online: Applying Learning Science in Online Classes" by Flower Darby and James Lang. The meetings will focus on the parts of the book as follows --

Meeting 1: Part 1 Designing for Learning

Meeting 2: Part II Teaching Humans

Meeting 3: Motivating Online Students (and Instructors).

The book focuses on strategies for incremental improvement. Our conversations will focus on these strategies and potential or current implementation in your online courses.

CATL has 10 copies of the book to give to interested participants able to attend the series; complete the registration form linked below. Additional participants are welcome to read the book online through Murphy Library. You are encouraged to attend all events in the series and complete the readings before attending; however, you are still encouraged to attend if you are unable to do so.

Please register or express interest here.

An Outlook Calendar invite will be sent after registration.
