Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship Workshop & Panel

Are you Pell Grant eligible and interested in learning more about how to finance your education abroad program? If so, this workshop is for you! Come hear from Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship alumni about their experiences and the application process.  

Jeydelyn Martinez was awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship in 2015 to study in Madrid, Spain. In 2016, Jeydelyn graduated from Marquette University with a BA in Social Welfare and Justice and Spanish. She returned to Spain to live and work for three years as an English teaching assistant and later as an ESL educator in Shenzhen, China. Jeydelyn now works for her alma mater as an Office Associate for the TRIO program, EOP-Student Support Services, and is a Gilman Alumni Ambassador for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Emma Jonas – UWL Gilman Alum who studied with ISA San Jose, Costa Rica virtually Spring 2021. Emma is currently a senior studying Biology with a plant and fungal concentration. Emma’s minor is in Environmental Studies and Recreation Management and is passionate about conservation and sustainability. She currently enjoys working at the Kane Street Community Garden. Next year she hopes to join the Peace Corps and serve in Nepal.
