                        The NCAA announced Dec. 11 that UW-L has been awarded bids to host the 2017 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships and 2018 NCAA Division III Women’s and Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced Dec. 11 that UW-L has been awarded bids to host the 2017 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships and 2018 NCAA Division III Women's and Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The wrestling championships, to be held at the La Crosse Center in downtown La Crosse, will occur on March 10-11, 2017. The two-day event features 170 participants representing approximately 60 schools from across the United States. It will mark the third time UW-La Crosse has hosted the NCAA III Wrestling Championships (2011, 2012, 2017).
The outdoor track & field championships, meanwhile, will take place at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex on the UW-L campus on May 24-26, 2018.  It will mark the fourth time (1986, 1997, 2013, 2018) UW-L has hosted the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, including, most recently, this past spring.
