UWL faculty member to present on the rise of the Bronze Age April 18 Posted p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 UWL faculty member will give a public lecture on an archaeological site in western Romania that led to the rise of Bronze Age civilizations. Beaujot has launched material cultural projects locally with the [art]ifact exhibit at the Pump House Regional Art Center. Award-winning “Hear, Here” oral history project her students launched also has links to material culture.

NEH Summer Scholar Posted 2:40 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 Faculty member earns prestigious national institute spot to study material culture. Read more about NEH Summer Scholar Shayna Plaut is the research manager for the Global Reporting Centre and the project manager for “Strangers at Home.” She has personal connections to her work. Her grandparents fled Europe because of nationalism and xenophobia. Her name means “beautiful refugee.”
