Grad overcomes obesity, plans future promoting health Posted 4:34 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 Nearly 700 grads walked the stage for Winter commencement. One graduate shares her path from poor health to earning a degree in Community Health Education. The UW-L senior put immense energy into obtaining a college degree despite challenges that would force most to give-up: a 152-mile round trip commute from Richland Center, working part time nights and weekends, and raising her four children, including a newborn.
