Dean’s Student Advisory Council promotes connection, communication
The UWL School of Education believes every student should have a voice.
To amplify those voices, the Dean’s Student Advisory Council was created. The council creates a space for open communication, empowering students to share celebrations, concerns, and feedback on academic, non-academic, and accreditation-related matters within the School of Education.
Over the years, the council has grown to include members from all education programs, a Student Association representative, the senior advisor for belonging, community and connection, and Dean Marcie Wycoff-Horn.
“The School of Education is constantly looking for ways to improve, and members of the Dean’s Student Advisory Council are able to be the voices for all other students on campus who don't necessarily have the time, ability and/or desire to communicate their wishes themselves,” says Danica Lee, a music education major from the class of 2027. “I enjoy being a supporting hand that helps to push student ideations into realities.”
The Dean’s Student Advisory Council meets monthly during the fall and spring semesters.
