Candidates in the 94th and 96th Assembly Districts to square off in debates Oct. 25.
Candidates for two La Crosse area contested assembly seats will square off in debates at UW-La Crosse. The debates are set for Tuesday, Oct. 25, in Port O’ Call, Cartwright Center-Gunning Addition.
Candidates in the 94th Assembly District, incumbent Steve Doyle, a Democrat, and challenger Julian Bradley, a Republican, will face off at 7 p.m.
Candidates in the 96th Assembly District, incumbent Lee Nerison, a Republican; and opponent Alicia Leinberger, a Democrat, will debate at 8 p.m.
Along with the UWL Joint Legislative Relations Committee, the debates are sponsored by the La Crosse Tribune, WKBT-TV, WXOW-TV, radio station WLSU and the League of Women Voters of the La Crosse area.
Campus sponsors include Academic Staff Council, Faculty Senate, University Staff Council, Student Association and the Political Science/Public Administration Department.
