Performance will feature ‘Gloria’ and ‘Christmas Oratorio’
The UW-La Crosse Choral Union will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria” and Camille Saint-Saen’s “Christmas Oratorio.” The concert is at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 721 King St.
Both of these popular yuletide major works will feature vocal soloists from the choir and string orchestra members from the La Crosse Symphony and the UWL Symphony Orchestra. Playing the continuo keyboard scores will be Choral Union rehearsal accompanist Alethia Kenworthy-Williquette. The choir’s music director is UWL Music Professor Gary Kent Walth.

Tickets can be purchased from any Choral Union member or by calling 608.785.8415. Suggested ticket donations are: $5 for students, $8 for senior citizens and $10 for others. Tickets will be available at the church starting at 3 p.m. on the day of the concert.
