Here in La Crosse, people come together to work for the common good.
At UWL, we live out the Wisconsin idea of public service and community engagement. We are proud to work with our many partners in La Crosse, giving back every day to a community that generously supports our teaching, learning and service mission.
The "La Crosse Experience" stays with you for a lifetime.
UWL pride stays strong long after graduation! Stay connected with our beautiful campus and the faculty and friends who made your "La Crosse Experience" so special.
Experts. Scholars. Public servants. Community members.
UWL consistently delivers a high-quality and life-changing experience. We’re able to do it because of you, our talented and dedicated faculty and staff. You are the reason for our excellence!
Eight groups of alumni will return to see all the changes on campus, share UWL stories and renew old friendships the weekend of Oct. 19-22. In a two-part series, we will highlight the different groups coming “home” in October.
African American reunion
The fun will begin Friday, Oct. 20 with an informal social at UWL’s new Student Union. On Saturday morning, alumni will have the opportunity to meet current African American students and hear about the campus master plan. The evening dinner will include a presentation by Professor Emeritus Jim Parker, a history of multicultural initiatives on campus, and recognition of Jerome Johnson, former admissions counselor.
’92 championship team & football reunion
Twenty-five years ago, the UWL Football team won a national championship. Join players, coaches and family members for a walk down memory lane and to celebrate this significant piece of UWL history.
Saturday morning, join us for breakfast at the Student Union. That afternoon, the UWL Eagles will host rival UW-Oshkosh at Roger Harring Stadium at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. Following the game there will be time to gather in the Student Union for additional networking and time to reminisce.
Student Affairs Administration
Over the years, this program has been called College Student Personnel, College Student Development and now Student Affairs Administration. Join fellow program alumni as well as faculty and staff to celebrate its 50th anniversary. A dedication of the Dr. Norene Smith meeting room will start the program off at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, followed by an update on today’s program and the new online doctoral degree. Mark your calendars now to join us in October.
Watch for a formal invitation for each evening coming in late August. For more information, contact the Alumni Association at uwlalumni.org.
