Posted 8:27 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009

govWisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle visited campus July 23 to address the Wisconsin Science and Technology Symposium in Cartwright Center. The two-day event brought together science and technology researchers, entrepreneurs and investors from across the state to share ideas and spark new collaborations. The symposium featured the latest scientific discoveries from UW System and state clinical organizations in biomedical engineering, nanotechnology, tissue engineering, bioenergy and clinical sciences. “Research and technology are obviously vital to Wisconsin’s growth,” Doyle told participants, adding that the UW System plays a key roll in leading the state in both.
