A former TV executive at NBC will speak at UW-La Crosse.
George Mendez, an Emmy Award-winning former NBC studio manager for a variety of NBC programs, will share his story about being Mexican American and Irish American working behind the scenes at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, in 2302 Centennial Hall. A reception with Mendez will be held immediately following the presentation in the Student Support Services Resource Room, 2131 Centennial Hall. Both are free and open to all.
During his NBC career, Mendez worked with “Saturday Night Live,” “The Today Show,” “Conan O’ Brian,” “NBC Nightly News,” “Dateline” and others.
