A former skinhead will talk about his experience during a UW-La Crosse presentation. Frank Meeink will speak at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, in Valhalla, Cartwright Center-Gunning Addition.
Meeink will share stories about how he became one of the most notorious skinhead gang leaders of the East Coast. A trip to prison made him question his hatred. He is now part of Harmony Through Hockey, a hate prevention program. He has also advocated the Anti-Defamation League on multiple national networks including MTV.
Meeink’s talk is part of the Campus Activities Board Series. Tickets in advance are $3 for students and $5 for others. Tickets the day of the talk are $6 for students and $10 for others.
