Hear from the latest additions to the School of Education

The School of Education welcomed several new staff and faculty in recent months. While each has a different role to play, they all express a passion and enthusiasm for supporting the university's mission and helping students grow.

Gamoke

Beth Gamoke, academic services and certification officer

"Leaning into my background in secondary education, I'm thrilled to be working with future educators to grow and advocate for the profession. Guiding and preparing effective teachers impacts future generations to love to learn and brings needed knowledge, skills and kindness into our world."



Goethel

Angela Goethel, assistant professor of psychology

"I graduated from the School Psychology program at UWL in 2012. I'm excited for this opportunity to give back to the program by working alongside students, colleagues and community partners​ — preparing new generations of school psychologists to fill increasingly vital roles for our students, families, schools and communities."



Prince

Makayla Prince, field experience administrative assistant

"I am thrilled to be a part of the UWL community. I am excited to contribute to the growth and success of students and the university as a whole. I look forward to pursuing new opportunities to grow both academically and professionally here at UWL.



Salzman-Coon

Olivia Salzman-Coon, assistant teaching professor of music

“I am excited to be a part of a school that values a holistic approach to teaching that considers the ever-shifting professional world students will need to be ready to join upon graduation. I also feel that the emphasis on holding high academic standards, coupled with a commitment to supporting students' wellbeing, makes UWL in general and the SOE specifically an exciting place to be!”



Spurlock

Gabrielle Strittmater, assistant professor of exercise and sport science

Nicolette Suchon, assistant professor of exercise and sport science
