The UWL Music Department will host the 2015 La Crosse New Music Festival showcasing the talents of a world-renowned cellist and other performers.
The UWL Music Department will host the 2015 La Crosse New Music Festival Tuesday-Thursday, Nov. 3-5.
Concerts will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Annett Recital Hall, Center for the Arts. The Wednesday, Nov. 4, concert will take place at Christ Episcopal Church, 111 N. 9th St. All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
This year’s festival showcases the talents of world-renowned cellist Craig Hultgren who specializes in performances of contemporary music for solo cello and cello with electronics. Other ensembles and performers include the La Crosse Chamber Choral, UWL Concert Choir, UWL Women’s Chorus, Pianist Luke Thering, and Organists David Bohn, Tom Haag, Louise Tempte and Dean Whiteway.
