Psychology students to present research projects at MPA conference

Posted 10:43 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2010

Fifteen UW-L psychology students had their undergraduate research projects accepted for presentation at the April 29-May 1 Midwestern Psychological Association Conference in Chicago (http://midwesternpsych.org/). Two projects won regional research awards, which are presented to fewer than 10 percent of the overall submissions from seven states. The award-winning projects include “What's in a Voice? Vocal Characteristics and Their Influence on Courtroom Decision Making” by Tiffany Entringer and Lee Starck; and “Attitudes Toward Persons With Disabilities: A Comparison of Chinese and American Students," by Molly Grames and Cortney Leverentz. All of the projects were supported by UW-L undergraduate research grants. For more about undergraduate research grants, visit www.uwlax.edu/URC/.
