UW-La Crosse is engaged currently in a search for a new Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The search is open, and applications are being accepted for a review process that will begin after Dec. 7. We would like to encourage qualified individuals to apply, and to have you reach out to those people whom you believe have the characteristics and qualifications to serve our campus well in this demanding role.
A university profile and the position description that has been developed to support this search process can be found at https://www.uwlax.edu/provost-search/. It may be worth a brief look, even if you are simply curious. However, the Provost Search website is an excellent starting place for potential candidates to get information about our campus and about the qualities that we are looking for in our new Provost. There is also a link to the job posting through this site. You may also encourage candidates to contact me directly for additional information. New applications will continue to be reviewed after Dec. 7.
We hope to bring several candidates to campus for open forums during the month of February. A successful candidate is expected to begin their work as our new Provost on July 1, 2017.
