New precincts, voter ID highlight Feb. 16 election
New voter ID requirements and a change in precincts in the City of La Crosse highlight the primary election for area voters Feb. 16.
The election includes a statewide primary for Justice of the Supreme Court, along with a few area county board of supervisors and school board primary races.
New voter ID requirements may add a step or two to the voting process — but students living in La Crosse can still easily cast their ballots in the election.
Also, the City of La Crosse has moved its 34 wards into 13 aldermanic districts, resulting in fewer polling locations.
