The College of Business Administration was listed among 12 of the top colleges in the nation for innovative assessment practices.
The UW-La Crosse College of Business Administration was listed among 12 of the top colleges in the nation for innovative assessment practices. The recognition came in a report on Best and Innovative Practices in Higher Education Assessment from Hanover Research, a global research firm. Some of the other schools featured include Princeton, Carnegie Mellon University and Cornell University.
The recognition comes after a series of stellar national recognitions about the CBA. In January the school accepted a prestigious award recognizing the college’s outcomes assessment to improve student learning with the Council for Higher Education Accreditation Award for Outstanding Institutional Practice in Student Learning Outcomes. In March the college was re-accredited, meaning it remains among the five percent of business programs worldwide that can meet these rigorous standards.
The universities highlighted in the Handover Research report were identified in a scan of prominent research institutions, CHEA recipients and other institutions featured in literature.
The report explores best and innovative practices in higher education assessment. It includes a review of available literature on trends and future directions of assessment and accreditation. It also profiles institutions with innovative approaches to assessment of student learning and institutional assessment.
