Tickets for the high-flying musical comedy about chasing dreams and not getting caught go on sale at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23.
"Catch Me If You Can," follows Frank W. Abagnale Jr. as he lies, seduces and deceives his way into becoming a multi-occupational millionaire, using only his boyish charm, big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks. Abagnale jet-sets all over the world living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams all while posing as a pilot, doctor and lawyer. His lies catch the attention of FBI agent Carl Hanratty who tracks Abagnale’s stream of bounced checks across the country to make him pay for his crimes.
Based on the hit film and the incredible true story, "Catch Me If You Can" is a delightfully entertaining show created by Tony Award-winning dream team Terrance McNally, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Nominated for four Tony Awards including Best Musical, the stage version of "Catch Me If You Can" is a big, bright spectacle incorporating jazzy, high-energy musical numbers and a riveting story.
Box office hours to purchase tickets are 1-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays, and one hour before show times. Tickets are $5 for UW-L students, $16 for seniors and non-UW-L students, and $18 for others. Call 608.785.8522.
