Ball says the 1998 team members trained so hard together they became an extended family that went on to win the conference championship. One of her teammates was Julie (Waterhouse) Regan — her sister. Ball earned letters all fours years she competed in the sport, 1996-2000. She graduated in 2000, majoring in art.  She is a human resources benefits specialist with the Fairmount Fire Protection District.
