The UW-La Crosse Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will join bands from La Crosse public high schools for a special spring concert featuring Pulitzer Prize-Winning composer.

The UW-La Crosse Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will join bands from La Crosse public high schools for a special spring concert.
The bands will combine with Pulitzer Prize winning composer Michael Colgrass to perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center.
The bands are directed by Tom Seddon and Tammy Fisher, UW-L; Mark Lakmann, Logan High; and Bix Swerman, Central High. They will perform a wide variety of music featuring the works of Colgrass, who will be in La Crosse to work with the bands prior to the performance.
The selections include: “Bali” by Colgrass, “Angels in the Architecture” by Frank Ticheli, “Zululand” by Colgrass, and “Mars” by Gustav Holst. UW-L Faculty Member Soprano Aliyah Richling will perform, along with the university’s Women’s Choir and Mannerchor.
