UW-La Crosse to offer economic indicators update

The economic impact of the Mississippi River on the region’s vitality and future growth is the topic at the regional business forum “Economic Indicators: An Update for the 7 Rivers Region” Sept. 14.

Role of Mississippi River to be discussed

How healthy is the Mississippi River? What role does it play as a key economic driver for the entire 7 Rivers Region? The local Economic Indicators Series will continue its reports on area indicators. Judy Bodway from the Port Authority of Winona and Kent Pehler from Brennan Marine will share their expertise and insights regarding the significant economic impact of the Mississippi River on the region’s vitality and future growth. “Economic Indicators: An Update for the 7 Rivers Region” is a regional business forum coordinated in part by the UW-La Crosse Small Business Development Center. The event will be held at UW-L Wednesday, Sept. 14, in Valhalla, Cartwright Center-Gunning Addition. Breakfast will be served at 7 a.m., with the program beginning promptly at 7:20. Registration is $20; pre-registration is required. Register early; seating is limited. Parking will be available at no charge in lots C-2 (stadium lot) and C-9 (close to Cartwright).
