The history of Act Up and my experience being one of the people who started the Philadelphia chapter. My first activism was with the Gay Activist Alliance in Philadelphia in 1973. I shifted away from activism until 1985 when one of my ‘family’ died from AIDS. We started ActUp PHL in 1987. Today I am a Clinical Therapist at Mayo Clinic Health System and I now call La Crosse my home.
