Michael D. Hayford: Chief Executive Officer of NCR Corporation

Michael D. Hayford is Chief Executive Officer of NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), a Fortune 500 technology company based in Atlanta, NCR is a software platform focused company providing software, hardware and services in Retail, Hospitality and Banking industries doing business in 160 countries.  In 2022, NCR had $8 Billion in sales and employed 38,000 employees.

Prior to NCR, Mike served in several C-suite financial technology roles.  He was a co-founder and helped created New York based Motive Partners in 2015.  Motive Partners is a specialist private equity platform investing in technology enabled financial services businesses in North America and Europe.  It has $4.8 Billion in assets under management. Prior to that, Mike was Chief Financial Officer and senior executive vice president of FIS, a Fortune 500 financial technology company, with $15 Billion in annual sales.  From 1992 to 2009, Mike held various leadership roles at Metavante Technologies, a Financial Technology company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  At Metavante, Mike was CIO, CTO, EVP of Corporate Development and M&A, CFO and then served as President and Chief Operating Officer.  As President, Mike was instrumental in taking Metavante public on the NYSE in November of 2009.  Mike started his career in the Chicago office of Arthur Andersen’s Management Information Consulting Division, now known as Accenture. 

In 2023, Mike was named the number 1 Fintech CEO by the Financial Technology Report for his unwavering dedication to building a better future through the cultivation of emerging technologies in the finance space.

In September of 2022, Mike was appointed by President Biden to the National Infrastructure  Advisory Committee (or NIAC) under the depart of homeland security. Mike currently sits on a number of boards in Atlanta Georgia. He is a board member of the Georgia Music Accord, sits on the Georgia Tech Advisory Board, at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta,  and is a member of the Woodruff Arts Center Board of Trustees. Mike is a board member on the Atlanta Committee for Progress and serves on the Executive Committee of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
