Community of Practice: New(ish) Instructors, Registration Deadline

Are you a new(ish) instructor here at UWL?  Would you like to meet other instructors from across campus while simultaneously working with colleagues to improve your teaching? CATL is recruiting new instructors for a community of practice offered in Academic Year 2023/2024. This highly interactive community of practice centers around orienting new(ish) instructors (3 or less years at UWL) to strategies, systems, and technologies used for classroom planning and engagement, as well as student success We will meet monthly with discussions based on your needs. 

To participate in the experience over the academic year would take about 15 to 20 hours of your time. 

Meeting Dates - Fall 2023: 

  • Cohort A: Mondays 12:00-1:00pm --- initial meeting will be Monday, October 2 from 12-1:00pm - frequency of meetings for the remainder of Fall 2023 will be determined by the cohort
  • Cohort B: Wednesdays 4:00-5:00pm -- initial meeting will be Wednesday, October 4 from 4:00-5:00pm - frequency of meetings for the remainder of Fall 2023 will be determined by the cohort

Spring meeting times will be determined by cohorts.
