Student Employee of the Year and Student Employment Supervisor of the Year Recognition Ceremony

Recognizing those nominated and announcing winner of each category

Celebrating those nominated for the following excellence awards:

UWL Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY)

Since 1991, UWL has participated in the National Student Employee of the Year program to recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of students who work while attending college.  The nomination begins at the institutional level and then goes to the state, regional and possibly the national level for consideration.  Eligibility is determined for all student employees who have been employed for a minimum of six months part-time or three months full-time between June 1 and May 31.  Students are reviewed on their contributions in the category for which they were nominated:  Community Service, Diversity & Inclusion, Leadership, Technology & Innovation or Critical Thinking.

 

UWL Student Employment Supervisor of the Year (SESOTY)

Since 2016, this award recognizes the outstanding leadership, professionalism and mentoring of our faculty, academic staff, or university staff who are student employment supervisors.  The process begins at the institutional level and then goes to the state, regional and national level for possible consideration.  This award was established to recognize the invaluable role our supervisors play in the development of our student employees.  Acting as role models, mentors, coaches, and more – our supervisors provide education outside the classroom.
