ArtsFest 2024

ArtsFest 2024 is approaching fast and furious to UWL! This year’s theme is “Unboxing Creation: Anticipation & Discovery,” and this year’s festival features dozens of events beginning Thursday April 25 and running through Sunday April 28.  Some top recommendations for the weekend: ArtsFest Opening Reception followed by Twin Talk jazz trio performance (4/25 @ 6:45 pm); presentations on disability aesthetics in performance by scholar Samuel Yates, Ph.D. (4/26 @ 3:20 and 4:30 pm); and something completely unique for ArtsFest – an outdoor hike with Mitch Iburg and Zoë Powell from Studio Alluvium that will show participants how to identify and responsibly source local clays and minerals (4/27 @ 10 am). Wear good shoes and dress in layers!

In addition to other workshops and masterclasses from our featured artists, UWL Theatre & Dance presents Sarah Ruhl’s play Orlando daily, our Art Department hosts artist open forum sessions for those featured in the Senior Exhibition, and a very busy music program offers concerts from the Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestra – all this across four days, from Thursday April 26 through Sunday April 28. All events are free and open to the public except for the production of Orlando, which is a ticketed event.Tickets for Orlando can be purchased at
