2025 Music Honors Recital

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Department of Music presents its annual Honors Recital featuring student musicians. This recital will be at Annett Recital Hall in the Lowe Center for the Arts on Sunday, February 16 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow the recital.

On Friday, February 7, student musicians auditioned before a panel comprised of UWL faculty for an opportunity at performing in the Honors Recital. This year’s recital features Ann David (flute), Danica Lee (voice), Sasha Forbes (oboe), Melia Fretwell (voice), Jon Heck (trombone), Andrew McDonald (piano), Colin Miller (voice), and William Murphy (piano).

“I like to think of the Honors Recital as showcasing some of the best accomplishments that our students are making in their lessons and in their performance,” says Professor Jon Ailabouni, who is serving as Director of the Honors Recital.

This annual recital serves to recognize and support students in the Department of Music. All those who were nominated and subsequently auditioned for the recital (whether selected to perform or not) are considered for a scholarship for their excellence in music performance

Both recital and reception are free and open to the public, and no reservations are required. Visit uwlax.edu/vpa for more information.
