UWL Symphony Orchestra

Fall Concert

UW-La Crosse Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra perform their first concerts of the 2024-2025 academic year with programs titled “Venerations” and “Echoes Across Time,” respectively. Both ensembles are conducted by Professor Martin I. Gaines.

The Symphony Orchestra plays at 4 p.m. and begins with a ballet suite by Léo Delibes. Sunday’s orchestra program also features a symphony, but devised with an alternate approach – instead of playing one full work of one composer, audience goers will enjoy a unique symphony experience that is stitched together using movements from unrelated works composed across the eighteenth century.

The Lowe Center for the Arts is currently adjacent to a major construction project for a new parking ramp. Please visit uwlax.edu/vpa/parking for more information. Both concerts are free and open to the public, no advance reservations required.
