Week Without Driving Walk Audit

Evaluate Pedestrian and Bicycle Infrastructure Near Campus

Participate in a “Walk Audit” on Tuesday, October 1st, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM beginning and ending at Whitney Dining Center! A "Walk Audit" is an assessment of the walkability and pedestrian access of a particular area. In this case, we will be focusing on a section of off-campus including West Ave and La Crosse St, where pedestrian safety is a concern for the many students who traverse and cross these streets daily. This audit is a part of Week Without Driving that is being celebrated community wide from September 28th  to October 6th.

 

During the audit, we will evaluate the current pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure, or lack thereof, around Off-Campus Housing, and discuss possible improvements to make the area safer and more accessible for everyone.
