Jail Literacy Meets Shakespeare Behind Bars

Through the generous support of the Bernard & Rita Bernatovich UW-La Crosse Jail Literacy Program, actor and educator Kate Thomsen will visit UW-La Crosse to share her experiences working with incarcerated students, including in the Shakespeare Behind Bars program. Professor Thomsen will present an evening talk open to all, intended to inspire and inform university and community outreach to incarcerated learners, writers, artists, and performers. The event will take place on April 1st, 2025, from 7pm to 8:30pm in the Grandad Bluffs Hall, 2130 Union, on the UW-La Crosse campus.
