Digital Accessibility 101

A look at the Barriers/Solutions of Title II for Canvas

9:00 - 10:30am = Title II Digital Accessibility
Presenters: Ashley Edwards, CATL Specialist, and Kristin Koepke, CATL Director
This session will provide an overview of digital accessibility and the updated Title II expectations for digital content on college campuses. We’ll examine some of the common barriers to access individuals’ experience and how they impact learning before diving into some solutions, including universal design for learning (UDL) and accessibility tools like UDOIT.  

10:30 – 10:45 = Break  

10:45 – 12:00 = UDOIT
Presenter: Marjorie Bazluki, CATL Senior Instructional Designer
This workshop will give you an opportunity to use the UDOIT accessibility tool (integrated in Canvas) on your fall courses. This session will include a demonstration of how UDOIT works, a structured time to work in groups on applying the tool to your own courses, and a CATL consultant on hand for support.
