International Education Showcase & Food Tasting

Join world travelers during International Education Week in exploring global cultures, languages, and perspectives through interactive sessions on behalf of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL), Viterbo University, and Western Technical College through food, table displays, and more with the generous support of La Crosse International Committee & Sister Cities of La Crosse.

Featured food represents the home countries of UWL, Viterbo University, Western Technical College international students, and the tentative food menu includes:

  • Myanmar - Ohn-No-Kauk-Swe (chicken soup)
  • Brazil - Pao de Queijo (cheese bread) or Brigadero (cookie)
  • Germany - German Style Beef Tips
  • Morocco - Moroccan Roasted Carrots
  • Ireland - Colcannon (Irish potatoes)
  • Ghana - Sobola (hibiscus tea)

Tickets:  $10 for students & $15 for staff/faculty/general public

Tickets will be available NOW! 

Schedule:

  • 5:00 p.m. Doors Open
  • 5:30 p.m. Presentations
  • 6:00 p.m. Booth & Food Sample Exploration
  • 7:30 p.m. Closing
