Digital Accessibility 201: The B & S of Title II for Digitizing Materials (Phase 2)

9:00 - 10:30am = Overview of Common Barriers to Accessibility
Presenters: Ashley Edwards, CATL Specialist, and Marjorie Bazluki, CATL Senior Instructional Designer
This session continues to focus on common barriers to accessibility and strategies for removing those barriers for student learning. We will focus on the accessibility of electronic resources such as documents, presentations, spreadsheets and PDFs and demonstrate some accessibility solutions.  

10:30 – 10:45 = Break  

10:45 – 12:00 = Workshop: Accessibility Scavenger Hunt  
Presenters: Ashley Edwards, CATL Specialist, and Marjorie Bazluki, CATL Senior Instructional Designer
This workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to practice making digital material accessible (from your own classes & those of your co-participants) using the solutions demonstrated in the earlier session. The goal is to engage in hands-on learning to make digital documents accessible – bring pieces you need to update & get that updating done together!
