Stories from the Violins of Hope

Part of Violins of Hope - Wisconsin

Experience the moving filmed performance of Stories From the Violins of Hope, produced by Los Angeles-based The Braid theatre company. This program made available in partnership with Violins of Hope – Wisconsin, presented by Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra. Created in The Braid’s signature style—professional actors bringing true stories to life—the film shares powerful narratives of violins that survived the Holocaust, their music carrying the voices of resilience and hope.

Miraculously filmed during the height of COVID-19, this work has reached audiences worldwide, from screenings by the United Nations Holocaust Outreach Programme in over 30 countries to communities across the U.S. and Latin America (with Spanish and Portuguese subtitles). Winner of the 2023 Ojai Film Festival, Stories From the Violins of Hope is a testament to the enduring power of music and memory.

Join us for this unforgettable evening of history, artistry, and inspiration.
