February (2024) Film Screening

Join us for a free film screening this Thursday, October 2 at 5:30pm at the Student Union Theatre presented by the Department of Global Cultures & Languages and the UWL Institute for Latin American and Latino Studies.

Winner of the 2024 GOLDEN BADGER AWARD and the AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD at the Wisconsin Film Festival, February (2024) is a film written and directed by Nathan Deming.

Miguel (David Duran) is a recent immigrant to a small Wisconsin town and struggling to fit in.  His sister (Nayeli Hernandez) is worried about him, her husband (Erick Inestroza) less so - until a strange man (Ritchie Gordon) offers to take Miguel ice fishing.
