General Education Modification Listening Session

General Education Modification Listening Session

Faculty Senate and the Provost's Office invite you to a listening session about the required changes in General Education that will be occurring at UWL. All interested parties are welcome.

Thursday, October 9,
3:45-4:45 pm
3310 Student Union

The purpose of this session is to provide a brief overview of what we know currently about the process and what is still to be determined at the system level and then take your comments and questions.

We will be utilizing your questions to create a UWL-specific website with updated FAQs as we learn more and a provide a mechanism for UWL faculty/staff/students to submit questions that will help inform the FAQs (individual responses will not be provided).

Bryan Kopp (General Education Coordinator), Leanne Vigue (Registrar) and Trevor Sprague (Admissions/Transfer) are members of the UWSA Workgroups.  UWL's General Education Committee will be proposing a modified General Education program to Faculty Senate and the final step will be Chancellor approval.  Bryan, Leanne, Trevor, Sam Cocks (GEC convenor), Greg Ormes (Fac Senate Chair, Betsy Morgan (Provost) and Sandy Grunwald (AVC) will be in attendance.

We recommend you review the information provided by the Universities of Wisconsin that includes FAQs prior to the meeting, and we will do our best to answer questions at this session.
