Lean in Lunch #2

Space to Reflect, Connect, and Grow

Lean In Lunches offer UWL students, staff, and faculty a welcoming space to explore cultural humility, deepen self-awareness, and engage with diverse perspectives. These informal gatherings invite participants to lean into what’s on their minds through open dialogue and shared reflection. Meet us at the Center for Civil Dialogue and Civic Engagement (CDCE). All are welcome!

Each session includes:

  • A check-in
  • A discussion protocol to guide inclusive conversation
  • A thematic focus that’s timely and relevant
  • A closing reflection

Lean In Lunches are designed to foster connection, curiosity, and community.

Bring your own lunch and an open mind. Dessert and refreshments will be provided.

This month's topic is Harvesting Hope: Gratitude in a Time of Unrest. We'll explore how we hold space for both gratitude and unrest, examining the healthy tension of cognitive dissonance - how joy can coexist with injustice, and hope with anger.
