Cultural Food Celebrations

Whitney will host a monthly Cultural Food Celebration meal that features various cultural dishes. March will feature various food dishes that celebrate the end of Ramadan: Eid al-Fitr! The meal will take place from 4:30-7pm. Students who have a meal plan can use one of their meals and students/staff/faculty without a meal plan will need to pay for their meal at the door.

About Eid

Muslims around the world come together daily fasting from dawn to sunset during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. For Muslims, it’s a time of increased worship, charity and good deeds. Socially, it often brings families and friends together in festive gatherings around meals to break their fast. Ramadan is followed by the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr.
