Yalla Drum and Pizza!

Performance of traditional Arabic percussion and Arabic melodic songs.

Yalla Drum is a community Arabic percussion ensemble based in Minneapolis and presented by New Arab American Theater Works. The ensemble brings together people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels to learn, preserve, and share the rich rhythmic traditions of the Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) region through performance, education, and community engagement. Their performances feature traditional rhythms and interactive audience participation, offering an engaging introduction to Arabic music and culture while celebrating the power of rhythm to connect people across communities.
