Free Speech Week: The Courage to Engage

Free Speech, Polarization, and Public Accountability

This student leader luncheon will provide an informal opportunity for students to connect with Free Speech Week featured guests Dr. Jason M. Williams and Dr. Michael Bitzer. Together, students will explore how free speech, civic courage, leadership, public accountability, polarization, and democratic participation shape campus and community life.

The format will be conversational and flexible, with a loose agenda that allows students to ask questions, share experiences, and engage directly with the speakers in a smaller setting. This event is intended for student leaders and students interested in civic engagement, advocacy, dialogue, leadership, and public life
